River's Edge Mindfulness Group
River's Edge Mindfulness Group is a group of dedicated, though light hearted practitioners of the way of Mindfulness. This is a journey of personal discovery; a journey to find sustained peace and contentment right where we are. The foundation of our practice is Mindfulness Meditation, open discussion, lessons/talks and Mindfulness tools and exercises. We will also be coming together for hiking, lunching, half & full day practice sessions and more.
River's Edge grew out of the need for Mindfulness and meditation to be more accessible to everyone. We do this in a fun, non-denominational way that uses life itself as our guide. Join us on this most important and rewarding journey of cultivating true happiness and resilience, wherever we find ourselves.
See the Mind Coaching page for more information regarding the practice of Mindfulness.
Our true home is in the present moment. To live in the present moment is a miracle. The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green Earth in the present moment, to appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now.
Peace is all around us - in the world and in nature - and within us - in our bodies and our spirits. Once we learn to touch this peace, we will be healed and transformed. It is not a matter of faith; it is a matter of practice. We need only to find ways to bring our body and mind back to the present moment so we can touch what is refreshing, healing, and wondrous.
-- Thich Nhat Hanh
We meet every other Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in Santa Rosa, CA. The calendar on this page is updated frequently, however we recommend sending us an email to confirm as groups are occasionally canceled or rescheduled. You can also find our Events Page Here.
If this will be your first time, please contact us for the location and to schedule a before session introduction to our groups meditation and practice. In your email, please tell us a bit about yourself and the reason for your interest in our group.
River's Edge is a free, donation based group. This means that it exists solely because of your participation and support. With that, a minimum donation of $5.00 per group is suggested, though we graciously accept any and all donations to keep our practice going. Below are two options to donate via PayPal or credit card. One is a one time donation ("Pay Now") and the other is a reoccurring $10.00 per month donation ("Subscribe"). We can also accept donations in person via cash or credit card.
If you have any questions or to confirm the date of our next meeting, please write to Eric at email@example.com. Thank you and we hope to see you for practice.
